How do we do it?

hablas palabras uses Sonica Spanish software commissoned by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) which fully supports the National Languages Strategy.  Sessions will be interactive, innovative and inspirational using dancemat activities, karaoke, role-play, games, puppets and flashcards.

Each session will last 40 minutes and will be organised into three different ten minute activities plus a fun start and finish.  It is generally accepted that the average concentration span of a child corresponds roughly to the child's age plus one or two minutes therefore hablas palabras has designed its sessions accordingly. 

An example of a typical session would be:

    Introduction - greeting and song/dance 

    Activity 1 - Flashcards

    Activity 2 - Karaoke

    Activity 3 - Spanish bingo

    Conclusion - song/dance and goodbyes

For pre-school children the length of session is 30 minutes.
